Proper Medium was founded in 2006 when a young experimental documentary filmmaker had a hunch that online video was going to be a big deal. Twenty years later, we’re a well-oiled, hyper-creative filmmaking machine that produces compelling work for some of the world’s most successful brands.

Our Narrative Building process creates beautiful media asset libraries for brands that can be leveraged again and again to produce fresh, engaging ads, origin stories, brand films, YouTube shorts, TikTok videos, branded documentary series, podcasts, and more. We’re a partner that is always working with you so your content is continuously working for you.

  • Narrative Building is an annual engagement during which we are committed to making sure your content works. We create a targeted storytelling strategy and produce an entire content library that makes that strategy a reality. Think of us as the video marketing arm of your organization.

  • Our goal in documentary filmmaking is to Illuminate the magic that is in everything. This is our jam. Being able to create cinema-quality films about real people and real things that dive into entire worlds you know nothing about might just be the best thing out there.

  • We love love love making commercials. We also love pitching ideas for commercials. Everything about it, we love. We also love executing other teams’ creative.

  • Is there a Nobel-winning physicist coming to speak at your university? Because if so, we would love to document that! Do you need to stream a Ted-talk style presentation with four cameras in three days? Uh… that’s right up our alley. Hit us up!
